If you are wearing a traditional bridal gown, with tiara and veil, then - yes, it is too much. If you are wearing something very different, fashion avant-garde type of outfit, then you can go for it. It will totally depend on your outfit and the style of your wedding. Enjoy! Depends. Different cultures have different standards for what is appropriate for a bridal look. If you have been wearing double pierced earrings for awhile, you might see the hole in your ear anyway. I think it may be best to try a small simple stud, smaller than the size of an eraser on a pencil.
When you get your hair and makeup trial, whether you are doing it yourself, or having a professional do it, bring the earrings you were thinking about wearing, and snap a few photos. If you are happy with the way it looks, go for it.

Thank you for the reply! I can't seem to find earrings that work for me, I have a dangling pair with a pearl and a rhinestone ball, but it doesn't feel quite right. I feel the diamond stud would give it some sparkle on my ear. But again I'm worried I'll loose that "bridal" look. If I decide to not go with the dangling how about a diamond stud in one hole and a pearl stud in the other? My hair will be up and I have hair jewelry, crystal balls and stephenotis with a rhinestone center, and a simple pearl necklace, not the strand of pearls, but with spaces between each pearl. My dress is a-line and I am wearing a veil.
The dangle drop earrings might be a bit much, with all of the other accessories that you will be wearing. Try the simple studs, pearl & diamond. If you are having trouble finding earrings, and are on a budget, try Claires accessories. They are a chain costume jewelry store, and are usually in large shopping centers/malls, and online.
Try and snap a few photos before hand and see if its to your taste.
