Hi! Please help me. I need to know if it is okay to wear gold plated jewelry when I will be surrounded by silver decoration accents. My mother bought me a beautiful pearl necklace and pearl stud earrings accented by gold. The jewelry looks great with the dress; but I don't want to clash with my groom or with the decorations. (The gold in the jewelry is noticeable but not overwhelming.)
My wedding colors are pink and platinum, and my gown is ivory, strapless, completely unadorned. My fiance and his groomsmen will be wearing silver vests. Our wedding rings are platinum. And I am thinking of wearing a tiara, but I haven't decided yet.
Should I go out and get new silver plated jewelry?

The bride doesn't necessarily have to match her surroundings. Ivory with some gold accents is a beautiful combination. Since you are wearing Ivory and would like to have gold accented jewelry thats fine but you have to stick to it. Since the jewelry and tiara is up at the top by your face.You would have to do a gold accented tiara or hair accessory. Your ring being platinum will not be a problem.
Start looking soon, gold accented accessories can be tricky or might need to be ordered. Silver is the more common color so most boutiques stock silver accessories.
