how to make a wedding veil stay in place

My hair is long, about to the back bra line. I am wearing my hair down and only wearing the veil, which has a 3 inch comb. I am doing this myself but the veil is a bit loose. How can I make the wedding veil stay in place?

Dear Marcy25:

If the veil itself is loose on the comb, a few stitches may be all that is required.
IF it is the comb itself that is loose on your head/hair, to secure it, simply do the following:

Lift a section of hair and clip it "up" to allow you to place 3 tiny rubber-banded mini pony tails under the section you've lifted. When you unclip that section, it will cover the mini ponytails, but allow the comb's teeth to attach themselves to the stronghold of the secret pony-tails.

This will be an "invisible" fix to the problem.

Best Wishes for a perfect day and man, many years of happiness!

Dear Bride-to-Be,

The trick to having your veil stay in place is to secure it with bobby pins. Place the bobby pins at the teeth of the comb, and that should help keep the veil in place. If you have a metal comb you can use the smaller bobby pins, but if it is plastic you will need larger ones.

Good luck,
