i am a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding (my cousin is the groom). at first the bride said we could do our own hair or we could have her sylist do it for us. she said she wanted my hair up or half up, which i am fine with. i don't mind having it put up, but i REALLY don't want curls or curled tendrils. i haave to pay $45 to have it put it up - is it okay to ask to not have curls/tendrils? it's that really in poor taste to ask? how should i broach that subject?

Dear How Much
You need to talk with the bride and express your concern regarding tendrils and curls. An updo doesn't necessarily mean curls and tendrils. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com

Dear Dolcegirl,
Try talking to the bride about the look and theme of the wedding. Be really supportive and excited for her and then get some info on what kind of hair styles she would like for the bridesmaids. If the bride wants you to wear uniform hairstyles then you probably can't get out of it.
The bride could be open for suggestions. Let me know how it goes.
