     Long hair with long veil?

I love my hair, when it is down and straight it's right at my elbows. For the wedding I was thinking about wearing it down and curly for the wedding but I'm concerned that an elbow length veil would be too short and that people wouldn't be able to see my hair through it. I also don't know if I should wear it all night or just for the ceremony and pictures. I feel like it's a waste of money if I don't wear it the whole time but I don't want my hair hidden. I hope this makes sense :) I've attached two pictures of me so you can see how long my hair is (its longer now, these pictures are from the summer). Thanks!!

I totally understand! I have been a long hair specialist my whole career and you ladies love your hair. It becomes your trademark and rightly so when it is so lovely! I do like it curled as in your photo. Have you had a chance to try on a veil with your gown and your hair the way you want it? The full look and balance is what will be best. A veil is meant for the ceremony and once vows are spoken and you are now married the veil can be removed. It will get in the way of eating, dancing and visiting tables. With each hug, the veil will tug! Many brides remove it after pictures and just before the meal. If cost is an issue and your gown is white you can pick up a less expensive one at a craft store. If it is full and gathered then it will be hard to see your hair under it. A simple, one layer that is longer like finger tip would be nice. Is your veil separate from your headpiece? Then removing only a part of it may not hurt as much (cost wise). You don't have to have a veil. You can enhance your hair length by having streaming white ribbon flowing off the headpiece or delicate streamers of ribbon flowing from a decorative barrette. Look to the theme of your day and your gown style for creative veil ideas. best wishes!

Thank you so much! I was thinking of having like a comb-tiara-ish thing (I don't know what it's called) in front of my veil. I didn't really think about creating my own but I think I want to give it a try, I need a hobby anyway :) I tried on one veil in my dress but my hair was straight. I absolutely loved the veil but now I just don't view it as such a wise investment. I'd rather use that money somewhere else (like chair covers, my dad hates the chairs at the reception venue haha). I'm sure I'll have more questions for you.
