Question about wedding day hair style, nails and makeup

I will be getting married in 5 months. I am looking through bridal books that have different hairstyles, nails and makeup techinques. I always seem to cringe as I am not one who is a beauty queen. These are some examples: I will not be wearing a tiara or a veil as my wedding will take place outdoors. I was thinking sausage curls with flowers throughout my hair then I decide to cut my hair short and have the stylist decide to go with a style that may look good on me. Also, I am not one who loves to wear makeup as I have very dry skin and foundation/power flakes on my skin. What would be ideal for a spring outdoor wedding?Should I get my eyebrows plucked? What would you recommend for someone who never went to a nail salon to get nails done? Please help!

Congratulations on your wedding!

With your dry skin I would recomend trying a gentle scrub 1 or 2 times a week to smooth out the flakiness as well as a moisturizer twice a day. Once in the morning and before you go to sleep at night.

For your wedding make-up I would suggest a natural look so you are comfortable yet polished in your photographs. You may want to meet with a make-up artist in your area for either a lesson or to do your make-up the day of your wedding. They may also give you some advice about your eyebrows. My advice is if your going to have your eyebrows done, is to have them done two weeks prior to your wedding.

For your nails, natural well groomed nails are the fashion so tips are not necessary unless you want to lengthen your nails. I suggest a manicure once every two weeks leading up to your wedding and once a week the month before your wedding to get your nails and hands in picture perfect condition.

Best Wishes
