     Suitable lipstick shade

I'm a 22 year old bride with black hair, dark brown eyes and medium skin. I also have a warm undertone to my skin. In keeping with my warm tone, my gown is an off-white colour with golden motiffs. I have read one of your previous posts addressing a similar dress colour. But I have noticed that the shades suggested are all brown. Could you please suggest which shades of wine and/or red lip colours I might use that will complement my warm skin tone and dress.

Dear Anuka,

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Wine would be too drastic a color with your skin tone and the shade of your dress, but you certainly don't have to limit yourself to browns! You can experiment with warm reds that I am sure will look great on you! One of my favorite reds is "Sheer Love" from my own collection, similar to the one that Nicole Kidman was wearing at this year's Oscars. However, you can find lots of suitable reds from different brands everywhere! When you experiment with lip color, make sure your eyes are "done" and that you have enough blush. This way, you will be able to see the entire face "balanced". Enjoy the wedding!
