     Wedding make-up that won't melt

Hi,
I'm getting married in Thailand in April (the hottest time of the year usually). We aren't getting married until 4pm, but I'm still worried my make-up will melt.
I am a western girl- with brown hair and dark brown eyes. I want a natural look, that will last all night. I have combination skin an oily T-zone. I need make-up suitable for my skin, so I won't shine in the photos!

Please can you give me advice on what to use on my wedding day.

Hello,

Wow! Thats such an exotic and beautiful destination wedding! I can just picture the flowers and colors, perfect for photos!

I always say great makeup starts with great skincare. You will face the challenge of the humid climate with your naturally oily skin type. A double threat to makeup! But not to worry, there are so many wonderful and helpful products on the market now, thankfully!

Here are a few skincare items worth giving a try....Try them atleast a month in advance incase you have a reaction, you shouldnt, but better to see before the wedding day.

*Neutrogena: "Rapid clear oil control foaming cleanser", "Clear Pore oil controling astringent". For the body, back break outs and bumpy rough texture skin, try their body scrub, called "Body Clear". All priced under $10.

* Prime the skin with LOLA cosmetics "refine shine", mattifying makeup primer.

Avoid anything with oil, silicone ( has a slick texture) or sparkle, including mica particles.

For a long lasting, light weight makeup bast. Try Christian Dior Airflash aersol foundation. Available in 4 shades. You may be shade "300", if you a light medium skintone. Or "400", if you are more golden or tan easily. You can spray it directly on to the face, with closed eyes, holding your arm about 8 inches from your face, and spray in a "Z" zigzag formation. Or spray into the palm of your hand and apply with fingertips, for precision application. Its matte and lasts a long time. Apply a matching loose powder on top, for extra backup and lasting power.

I like Bobbi Browns cream rouge cheek colors, which also double as a matte lipcolor. I find that they last longer than just applying regular blush. If you apply it first, then top it with a light dusting of powder blush. This lasts the longest, and photographs very well. Apply with a sponge, dab on , then blend in, before setting it with the powder blush. Blend the two with a dry powder puff.

Dont forget to use an eyeshadow base before applying eyeshadow. You have to blend these well with your fingertip, before applying powder eyeshadow. Use a slightly damp eyeshadow brush to keep the shadow from dropping all over cheeks. It also gives the color more intensity and helps it cling to the eyelids.

Also switch to waterproof eyeliner, and mascara. A must! Maybelline and Revlon make great ones that are easily found in most drugstores. They also make long lasting glosses and shadows.

Carry a few blotting papers in your bridal purse. These absorb and blot shine without the need to carry around powder.

Practice a few times before the wedding day, so your not putting too much pressure on yourself.

Good luck!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Your wedding takes place in Thailand, which means the weather is going to be very humid! In order for your makeup to survive, after the makeup is applied, spray your face several times with "Model-in-a-bottle" makeup setting spray, to make sure it will stay nice and fresh all day. You may repeat spraying once or twice later, to guarantee that your makeup will stay put. Nothing else will keep it from humidity. For more information, visit my websites. Enjoy the wedding!
