I've searched for this question, but I don't seem to understand why everyone is promoting a makeup artist for a wedding? What is it with makeup artists, that is worth spending the money? My daughter, who is to be married, applies her makeup natural and quite well. So why should she use the services of a professional makeup artist? Do they apply something on your face to make the makeup last longer? Please help me understand! Thanks!

Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming wedding! Why hire a professional makeup artist? Several reasons: 1) no matter how good she is at makeup application, on the wedding day your daughter's hands might be shaking a bit. You need a steady hand to apply makeup on that day: after all, it's the most important day in girl's life and she wants to look like movie star if not a princess! 2) when we eat, drink and dance, we generate internal body heat. That is going to melt the makeup down in a couple of hours. The "smokey eye" will turn messy, the foundation and concealer will start cracking, the eyeshadows will go into creases. The problem is, the brides don't want that to happen! They want to stay gorgeous for the photos until the last minute! After all the, photography services cost a fortune! To avoid the "meltdown", hire a professional makeup artist. We use professional-grade photo-finish makeup products that stay on for hours and photograph well. We know our business! Enjoy the wedding!
