fall wedding makeup colors Can't Post

My wedding is in September. I need some advice on picking colors for my makeup. The wedding colors will be autumn themed, but I haven't chosen the color for my bridesmaids dresses yet. It will either be a deep red or dark purple. The wedding will be outdoors and during the day in the South, so it will most likely be pretty warm. I'm African American with caramel color complexion, dark brown hair and eyes. I have combination skin, not really dry in any areas, normal to slightly oily. I would like advice about colors for eyeshadow, blush and lips ad if foundation should be be matte or luminescent.

Thanks in advance.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! If you are not going to use professional help for your makep, print out "Professional Makeup Application Tips" from my website, which is a detailed instruction on how to apply makeup for special occasion and how to make it last. The long-lasting foundations I would highly recommend are "Dream Mousse" #2 by Maybelline (if you want a matte look) or Cream Foundation in "Butter Rum" color from my Belle Visage collection (if you want a more luminous look). Because you will be outdoors and in the warm weather, the key to a long-lasting makeup is to set it with Model-in-a-Bottle makeup setting spray, when you finish applying makeup. This way, it will last all day. If you chose dark purple for your bridesmaids dresses, you can use all shades of mauve and aubergine for your eyeshadows, with lighter pinkish highlights. If you chose deep red, I would suggest you stay with deep gold tones for your eyeshadow. The blush should be in Peach colors if you stay with gold tones, or in Rose colors if you use mauves for your eyeshadows. Again, the lipstick should be in golds/browns if you use gold tones or in mauves/cranberry if you use mauve eyeshadows. Matte or luminous foundation is a matter of personal taste. Personally, I prefer luminous look. I am attaching the photo of my recent client and her Mom the day of their makeup trial. As you can see, their skin is glowing, and it looks really good in photos. Again, if you are doing your own makeup, just follow instructions, practice several times, and you will look great! Enjoy the wedding!
