     Bachelorette Etiquette HELP!!!!!!

I am very new to the whole idea of planning a bachelorette party but one of the options was to have the bride, the bridal party and some close friends and have a fun weekend in Miami. We are traveling from NYC, so the flight is not bad at all. I know since there is only three girls in the party, the bride has assigned different tasks for everyone. I am in charge of the bachelorette party. I know I should cover all of the bride's expenses if we decide to do this trip, but should cover anything else like hotel for all of the girls? It might be about 5-8 girls going. What should I expect from the other girls who will be joining us? I thought I would cover the bride the whole weekend and I thought everyone else should cover themselves. Is that OK? I am still deciding on Miami.....Thank you!!!!!!

Dear New to This,

Actually the bride doesn't assign tasks such as this. These pre-wedding parties are optional. You would offer to host this. You are not responsible for it.

If you want to host it, this is one of the few parties where the guests pay for the honored guest. So, all of the guests chip in to pay for the bride. You would be responsible for figuring out how much this would cost for each of them. They would have to agree to the cost before the event.

You would be paying for yourself and your portion of the bride's expenses.

Best wishes,
