     Bridal shower and bachelorette party

Hi,

Just out of curiosity, what's the difference between a bridal shower and a bachelorette party?

Thanks!

A bridal shower is traditionally a party to shower the bride with gifts to set up a new home. This is typically held a few weeks before the wedding and the ladies closest to the bridal couple (mothers, sisters, cousins and friends) who are also invited to the wedding should be invited.

A bachelorette party is held to celebrate a bride's last night as a single woman. However, the party is usually not held the night before the wedding anymore because the bride wants to be well rested. A small group of the brides best friends go out on the town or celebrate at home. This party is typically a bit more on the wild side and can involve drinking and naughty games.

I hope this clears things up.
