     Bride's control of bachlorette party

How much say does a bride typically have in where, when, and who should come to her bachlorette party?

I am one of my friend's bridesmaids and am planning her bachlorette party. It was to be a surprise, but she keeps telling us when it needs to be and where, which were completely different from our surprise plans.

Who should decide?

Dear Host,

You are the host, so you plan the party. The bride is often consulted to find out what she wants. But, because others host this for her, including covering her costs, she doesn't have anything to do with the planning.

Good luck informing her of this Smile
