Inviting guests to the bachelorette who aren't invited to the wedding
My sister is getting married at the end of May and provided both MOH (my other sister and I) a list of people she wanted invited to the bachelorette party. The problem? She has decided on a very small wedding out of state, and wants a lot of people invited to the party who are not invited to the wedding. I feel like this could be a breach of etiquette, but am not sure what to do. Any advice?

You'll have to tell your sister that it isn't polite to invite anyone to the bachelorette party who isn't also invited to the wedding. This can be insulting to the guest. Ask her to imagine how she might feel if she were invited to a party for a bride and not invited to the wedding. In any case, it's not viewed nicely by most so ask her to keep the list to close friends and family who are on the wedding guest list. I agree. This would be very impolite and unkind. This same etiquette is used in all prewedding parties. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
