Some underage bridal party, some over 21.....what to do???
PLEASE HELP!!!!! Here is my problem...I am the maid-of-honor for my best friend who is getting married in 3 weeks....I have to plan the bachellorette party (of course), but the problem arises in the fact that 1) I've never been a maid-of-honor=don't know how to plan these things! 2) two out of the 8 girls are underage...3) The bridesmaids have NOT been in contact with me much the past month or so in helping to plan this thing..and I really wanted them involved and not just me being 'dictator' maid-of-honor type...4) NO stripper, toys, etc...(fiance would kill me! and the bride would be uncomfortable...but she still likes to go out and have a good time), 5) all the bride-to-be told me for the party was wanting 'dancing and drinks', which could be easier to plan IF everyone was OVER 21....I've had several ideas flopped because of different things, and I have been VERY busy with a new career and haven't had the time I wanted to make this party fun for her most importantly. I want to have something "out on the town" but it's just been very difficult finding a place for under-21ers...We have dinner plans, but after that????? I know it is ultimately all about the bride and her having fun and standing out in the crowd, but I also want to make sure everyone has a good time.....aaahhhhh! Can you help, PLEASE??

Dear MOH,
The only thing I can think of to host something private. It could simply be a party at someone's home. I'm sure this isn't what she is thinking of. But, with younger ladies and no under age dance clubs in the area, I don't know what your options are.

Have you considered a day spa party to include a day of pampering for all of you? It isn't "drinking and dancing" but it's a good activity that every age can enjoy. You'd have to get the OK from all involved since, depending on the spa, the rates can become costly. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
