     Where's my party?

My best friends have known for years that I would be having a destination wedding. They've always said, "Be sure to let us know before you go get married so we can throw you a bachelorette party!" Well, my wedding is in 2 weeks and they haven't planned anything. I've read in previous posts that we shouldn't expect a party or even ask for one, but would that apply in this case?

Yes, that still applies for you, sorry. And, especially if these ladies aren't invited to the wedding, which sometimes happens for a destination wedding. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time at your wedding. Just keep your focus on that.
