A close friend of mine is getting married and her fiance thinks she should invite one of his close friend's girlfriend. They girls are friends by association, is it really necessary for her to invite the girlfriend.

Dear Who to invite,
If she doesn't know her well and isn't close the lady doesn't have to be invited. Plus, the host makes the final decision.
