Who pays for the bachelorette party?

I am planning the bachelorette party for my best friend. I have reserved a semi-private room at a fondue bar and grill. The restaurant will require me to come up with a menu but I can't afford to pay for everyone's food. I am also not sure what else to do, as my friend does not want a cheesy "typical" party. How do I approach the whole $$$ thing and do I need to plan anything else?

The bachelorette party expenses are typically shared by all the women, with the exception of the bride, of course. You should get together with the other ladies and discuss the events and the cost and then all should agree before going forward.
