     confused.....and curious

Hi there, we are 2 bridesmaids/maid of honors (no others in the bridal party) who are planning the bride's bachelorette party, in vegas, per the bride's request. Since this is a weekend long event, we are unsure of the appropriate etiquette regarding our financial obligations? Are we required to treat the bride for the entire weeekend including hotel stay, massages, dinners, drinks, strip bars, clubs etc....or would it be rude to have the bride pay for her plane ticket and hotel stay, while the 2 bridesmaids paid for the entertainment for the weekend?

Dear Confused,

Plan the party you can afford. Even though the bride may want a weekend affair, doesn't mean that it has to be a weekend affair. The bridesmaids do pay for the entire party. So, if it was a destination party you two would be responsible for all costs, travel also. Perhaps if you were to inform the bride of your budget, she may decide to contribute.

Set your budget, then plan.

Best wishes,
