We are having a small family wedding so we did not invite a lot of people from work. My fiance is having a weekend camping trip bachelor party and he wants to invite a lot of the guys he works with. I was wondering if this is alright to do since these people are not invited to the wedding. He really wants his co-workers to join him for the bachelor party, however we cannot afford to inlcude them in our small family wedding. Is it alright to invite people to the bacholor party, without inviting them to the wedding?
If you could help me out with this dilemma I would appreciete it.
Thanks,
Jess

Re: [jessc] ok to invite to bachelor party and not wedding?

Dear Inviting,
No, I'm sorry it is not acceptable. It is like saying that these people are good enough to camp with, but not good enough to share in a personal moment.
It would be best for your fiance to share another camping trip, or occasion with them.
If you were having a small reception at home, perhaps you could afford to invite the coworkers and then they could be invited to the bachelor party. You could make this party more of an open house, so you could keep your expenses down.
