     second marriage bachelorette party

My mom is getting married for the second time and I am the MOH. She wants me to basically plan everything including the shower, bachelorette, colors, decorations, attire... etc. I won't get into all that; what I'm really worried about now is the bachelorette. My mom doesn't drink and most of the guests will be family, like aunts and cousins. I am planning on having the party at my apartment, beacuse I have quite a small budget. I have no idea what to do! Please helpCrazy

There are lots of things to do with a group without involving alcoholic beverages. The following is an exerpt from Top Wedding Sites' Bridal Shower Ideas but these same ideas could be used to plan a bachelorette party too.

1. Night of Beauty: Perform makeup "makeovers" on each other or enlist the services of a professional makeup artist, manicurist or...the hottest rage now...mobile spa parties.

2. Pajama Party: Have guests arrive dressed in their PJ's. The evening is filled with manicures, pedicures, facials and massages, and lots of girl talk. Be sure to have lots of indulgent snacks on hand!

3. Naughty Night: (This may not be something you want to do with your mother but...). Guests bring along naughty games and gift and novelties specially designed to help the new bride make her wedding night special. Rent some cool "ladies only" videos like the season finale of Sex and the City or The Red Show Diaries.
