My sister and my best friend are both very important to me, they are also both married and I was the Maid of Honor in both of their weddings. There is no question that my sister will be my Matron of Honor and stand next to me. I want to differenciate my best friend, who will be next in line. I don't want to call them both Co-Matrons of Honor, is there a term I can use to give to my best friend, as she is the closest to me of my 5 other bridesmaids.

You can have both as Matron of Honor. They would both be called Matron of Honor. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com

Thanks Nancy, but I guess what I was asking is if there is an intermediary term I can use for my best friend? I really do not want to have 2 people as my Maton of Honor. Thanks.

I agree. There really isn't another term that would work here. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
