     Bridal Party

My daughter is getting married next year. She has already selected her bridesmaids and her fiance has selected his groomsmen.

A problem has developed with one of the bridesmaids and it has been decided that she can no longer participate in the wedding.

My daughter is now concerned about the uneven match between bridesmaids and groomsmen. Is it imperative to have an equal number of the two or can you have more of one than the other?

She is trying to think of a replacement but can't come up with anyone.

Dear FDHolmes:

The bridal party doesn't have to be equally numbered. You can have more bridesmaids than groomsmen, or vice versa.
