Bridal Shower GIft-To give, or not to give?

Hello

I've very confused about if I should or should not give a gift to my sister (the bride) for her bridal shower this Saturday. I am the MOH and I am paying for most of the shower. Her bmaids are taking care of other favors, cake etc. I've been told traditionally the bridal party does not give a gift if they are hosting the shower, then again I'm being told I do give a gift...I talked to one of her bmaids last night and she said she was not planning on giving a gift. What is proper thing to do?? Help!

A gift is expected from everyone who attends the bridal shower - even the hosts.
