     Bridesmaid Dropout

I am in the process of having all of my bridesmaids fitted for the wedding. I have a July 14th wedding and we have to order our dresses now to ensure that they are here in time for them to be altered. One of my bridesmaids called and said that she could no longer be in the wedding because she cannot possibly get two days during the week off of work. I am ordering the dresses Friday, and I am not sure what to do in a situation like this. We had an equal number of guys and girls but now, unfortunately, that is not the case.. I was wondering what others do in this situation. Do they ask someone else? Or just go with who is still going to be in the wedding? Please help!!!

Good that she told you before the dresses were ordered!

Being chosen as a bridesmaid is an honor which should be taken seriously. You should be selecting those closest to you for your wedding attendants. Don't worry about numbers. Besides, if you were to ask someone else now they would surely know they were not first choice.
