I have a bridesmaid I have been friends with for quite some time and, while I love her. I have to say her parenting style is...well...lax. She has 2 girls; one is 4 the other is 2. They throw tantrums, scream and just cause havoc wherever they go! Things that most find horribly annoying, my bridesmaid finds cute and chalks it up to them being kids. Is it wrong to ask her to not bring her children? She lives 2 hours away, so she will be traveling and staying the night. I just have a feeling her kids will ruin the reception. Help!

Dear Jess & Nate,
It would have been best not to ask her to be an attendant, because if you expect her to stay over night, she will expect to bring her two young children. It is only reasonable and fair. If you are having an all adult affair, you could speak to her about leaving her children home. But, expect that she will be upset and reasonably so.
