I am looking for a fun and creative way to ask my friends and family to be my bridesmaids. Very new at this and very clueless. Appreciate any and all help!!! Lisa
Personally, I think the best way to ask your loved one to be your bridesmaid is individually; ask your Maid/matron of Honor first. I would maybe take them to lunch and say something like, "For as long as I can remember you've been a special part of my life, experiencing right along with me each new phase. I would like nothing more than to have you standing beside me as I step into another important and special phase of my life. Will you please do me the honor of being my Maid of Honor (Bridesmaid)? I'm not much for cute games, poems, gifts or cards but I am a sucker for an honest-to-goodness heartfelt speech! First of all, Congratulations! Two ideas came to mind. 1) Either take those you intend to have as bridesmaids out on a scavenger hunt. All the items they search for should be relevant to a wedding, but not blatantly obvious. At the end of the evening, have them guess what the items have in common and celebrate with a night out on the town from there. 2) Or, Something just as creative, but less strenuous, would be to send a paper doll with three outfits to each of the bridesmaids-to-be, in a pastel colored envelope. Enclose a short note like 'Guess which one you will be wearing' or any other cute message that would drive the message home. Remember to include your phone number and/or email address just in case your contact info has changed. Good Luck!

I think you should invite them all to attend a spa with you and while you all are enjoying a massage and facial ask them the question of being your bridesmaids.

I'd ask the maid of honor first personally. You could take her out to lunch .. . Then invite the rest of the bridesmaids for a mini facial/spa party at home.. of do some sort of girls night out and ask them.. it'll be fun.

I had some cute invitations printed that read "will you be my maid of honor?" and "will you be my bridesmaid?" In the remaining space, I wrote a note to each girl telling her why i wanted her to be in my wedding. They all loved it, and it gives them a keepsake to remember!
