Do I Have To Include Groom's Brother's Girlfriend in Wedding Party?
Should my fiance's brother's girlfriend (they have dated on and off for 7 years but she was not in the picture when I met my fiance) be in the wedding party?
I did not have her in my wedding a few months ago and now it has caused an uproar within our family and she won't speak to me.
Thanks!

Only those very close to the bride are typically asked to join the wedding party. Even if these two were married you would not be obligated to ask her to be a bridesmaid in your wedding. Ask your husband to explain all of this to his brother. They shouldn't be offended and shouldn't be causing the newlyweds grief about it.

I completely agree. I don't know where people get these silly rules that tend to hurt others. All of this is in etiquette books as well. So, you have a lot to back you up here. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
