Is it to impolite to give the bridal party gift certificates so that they can purchase whatever gift they like for about 20 dollars or so? I really haven't had time to order gifts for the party not to mention that none of my bridesmiads like the same things. Is there something that I may do or are gift certificates okay to be giving to the bridal party?

To me gift certificates imply that you couldn't be bothered to try to find them a real gift.
I suggest you buy them the jewelry you want them to wear with their dresses. You can even find them online. Fellow Bride
