Going to be a bridesmaid while trying to get pregnant

My husband and I are both to be a part of the wedding party for two of our very close friends. We accepted their invite quite a long time ago, as their wedding was supposed to take place this October but the wedding has been pushed ahead to next October.

My husband and I have been married for 4 years now and really want to start a family. We have been trying, but I'm not pregnant yet.

Should I tell our friends anything of our plans to try to get pregnant? I wouldn't want to mention anything prematurely if we don't end up getting pregnant any time soon. Is it wrong to be trying when we have already said yes to be in the wedding party? Should we just avoid an Oct due date if possible? Not sure what to do....please advise.

You agreed to be a bridesmaid this year. Since they have changed their wedding plans it is perfectly acceptable that you might have other plans yourselves. Talk to your friend. Decide together if you should still be in the wedding. Many bridesmaids have been pregnant, some unexpectedly. It happens; it's a natural part of life and really shouldn't interfere with their wedding. Even if you were due in October, the likelihood that you'd deliver on or near their date would be slim. And, if you did, so be it. As I see it - not a big deal. You should not have to put your life on hold.

Good Luck
