Jumped the Gun on asking Bridesmaid

I feel like I jumped the gun on asking one of my friends to being a bridesmaid. We were really close I felt until her wedding day was getting closer. She started to show her true colors more and more and I didn't like what I was seeing. She takes everything to heart and only sees things negatively.
My fiance and I have discussed our bridal party and we agreed on not having this person in it. I just feel that I haven't even chosen a date for my wedding and she is already stressing me out and I don't need that.
How do I ask her nicely that I wont be needing her in my bridal party? Besides the fact that already I know she will take it offensively and make me feel like the bad person, but I just want to make sure that my bridal party is going to be happy and not have this one person hide in a corner and I have to worry about her.
