I have two sisters that I am really close to and I just don't know what to do about the Maid of Honor position. I will be 22 when I am married and my sisters one will be 24 the other 19. How do I decide what to do? And what do I factor into the decision?
Also, 2 maid of honors is out of the question. They don't want it because in the end I will have to pick someone to do things over the other and that will be the same dilemma. Plus we are all very traditional so one maid of honor is pretty much how it has to go.

Ahh...this is an easy one! Do what I did some 19 years ago when I was married...ask both sisters! If you are equally close to them both tell them so and ask them to be your maids of honor (if either of them is married then her title would be Matron of Honor). This option was not as popular back when I was married but is becoming a more common option these days.
Decide ahead of time which duties each will be responsibile for during the planning and on the day of the wedding or, if your sisters get along well they can divvy up the duties themselves.

Dear Maid of Honor Difficulties,
Another option may be if your groom hasn't found a best man, one of your sisters could stand for him. Just a thought... Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
