My Maid of Honor is in the Military and has to go Over to Iraq during the time of my Wedding. I want no one else but her to be My Maid of Honor. I have no idea on what to do? Would it be stupid to have a picture of her and have it be where she would stand in the Wedding, kinda like a honor thing because she is overseas and that way it would kind of feel like she is there? Confused & Sad

Dear C & S,
You don't have to have any attendants if you don't want to. If you have bridesmaids, you could have them walk and stand in a special manner to wear none are directly next to you. All of this may be designed per your taste.

I agree with Rebecca that you don't have to have any wedding attendants if you don't want to. But if you choose to have them, be mindful that spreading them in such a way as to not have anybody close to you at the altar may look awkward in the photos later.
Perhaps another way to make her a part of your wedding is to have your florist a attach a small photo of your MOH to your bouquet by a ribbon in one of your wedding colors. This way she is at the altar with you. Or, denote space to her on the back of your wedding ceremony program either in the form of a poem or pick a song that represents your closeness and dedicate it to her.
