     Picking my Maid of Honour

I am getting married in June 2006 but have already had friends and family put pressure on me to pick my bridal party. Which i have been able to come up with, but i'm struggling to decide who should be my MOH. I've chosen my future husbands two sisters, a friend i've had since i was 3 years old, and my younger cousin to be a junior bridesmaid.

I'm stuck between asking my long time friend who also unfortunatly lives on the other side of the country, and his older sister who has become a great friend of mine in the past couple years. She has expressed alot of interest in helping plan our wedding with me and has been alot of support. I would like to ask her, but im worried that i will hurt my long time friends feelings.

What do i do?!

Have you considered asking BOTH to be maid (or matron) of honor? This is being sone a lot these days and, if one is married and one isn't, that would make giving the titles out much easier as the unmarried girl would be your maid of honour and the married woman would be the matron of honor. These two could share the responsibilities; the wonman who lives closer can do the physical, on location type jobs and the one living far away could be doing things like list and party preparation and organizing. The two of them should discuss how they dvide the duties.
