     Please help me...

Hello! I am very honored to have been selected to be in two weddings as a bridesmaid. Silvia got engaged in December 2003 and asked me to be in her bridal party...but put the wedding off to pay off some debt. I have been friends with her since I was in Kindergarten. April, got engaged in May of 2004 and knew her date right away...her being a close friend from college...also asked me to be in her bridal pary. I said yes to both but to find out last week that they are both booked for October 8th...one in Westchester County, NY and the other in Sarasota, FL. I am at odds...and all of my friends, knowing one of the two are taking sides...I would be very gracious to an unbiased oppinion...and reasoning as to why. Please help me... I don't want to choose...but I am going to have to.

Typically, you would attend the wedding invitation you accepted first; but in this case, since the first one did not provide you with a date, you already accepted a firm invitation from the second friend.

You should probably tell friend #1 that you were asked, and have already accepted, to be a part of a bridal party on that date. Who knows...maybe she can change her date (don't expect that or ask that of friend #1 though)?

Dear Please Help,

I completely agree with the Wedding Queen. I believe that is your best choice due to the fact that you agreed to the date that she set first.

I'm sorry that you are in such a stressful position.

Best wishes,
