Should bridesmaid stand with the groomsmen?

My son is getting married in september. The problem is that his future bride hates his sister so much that she wants her to wear a black dress and stand with the groomsman. Is it just me or is this something that has never been done before.

No, that is just rude and mean. If the bride is going to have your son's sister in this wedding, the sister is to be dressed like the other bridesmaids and stands with them.

Actually, she could be an attendant for the groom. She would be dressed as the bridesmaids, but would wear the same corsage as the men.
