     Under Age Maid of Honor

Hi,
I would like my sister to be the Maid of Honor in my wedding. She is only 17 and cannot legally sign the necessary documents. I was not planning on having anyone else stand up with me. Is it possible to have some one come up and sign the papers when it is time or are there other things I can do but still keep her as my maid of honor?

Thank you.

You'll want to confirm the answer with the local branch of government that issues marriage licenses where you live, but most of the time in states where witnesses are required it does not have to be a bridal attendant - just a qualified adult who was present at the time of the vows. Again - double check when you get your license too.
