I will be getting married in May 2006. I am having problems deciding what to do with our Wedding Party. We know who the best man will be. I have decided to have my fiance's sister be the Maid of Honor, but only because she is his sister. I am not very close with her or any other women. The women that I know are just acquaintenances. My fiance now want's his brother to be in the wedding since his sister will be. So now I am in a dilema. I do have a 10 year old niece but I am not close to my brother and she is very "large". I was not planning to include her in the wedding. Any suggestions on what I could do? My original plan was to just have my maid of honor and the best man. I just want simple. There will only be about 80 people at this wedding

Dear Killerbee:
I believe what I am hearing is that you feel because your Fiance wants to add his brother to the wedding party, thereby increasing his attendants, that you now must do the same. There is no rule on how many attendants should be in a wedding party. If he wants to include his brother, that's fine. You don't have to have the same number of Bridesmaids to his Groomsmen. Dear killerbee,
In addition to Expert Planner's suggestion, would your fiance' consider using his other brothers as ushers and not actually at the altar attendants? Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
