I am a bridesmaid in an out-of-town wedding. I'm bringing a friend as my "date". What is he supposed to do while I'm getting ready on the day of the wedding?

I'm sure he gave that some thought before accepting your invitation and will know what he wants to do. If not, he can avail himself of the activities nearby or the hotel pool, etc. He may even meet someone at the rehearsal dinner that he can pal around with.
