how do i ask friend to be replacement maid of honor
My maid of honor had to drop out. I have another person in mind but I'm not sure how to ask her. I don't want her to think she is my second choice. I had a tough time choosing between the two when I started planning the wedding.
PS mom wants an aunt to be MOH. Help and thanks.

Dear Tiggerjan,
I always think that people react best to honesty. You wrote in a very honest and kind way in your post. She will probably understand if you approach her as you did here.
It's too bad about your mom wanting your aunt. Hopefully she will be fine with it. But, you really should have someone that you feel comfortable with. You two will spend quite a bit of time together.

If you really get "stuck" and you cannot deny your aunt you could have one maid and one matron (assuming one is married and one unmarried. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
