I am a bride to be. I am the youngest of four girls in my family. None of my sisters have married. I am very close with all of my sisters and cannot choose between them for a maid of honor. I was wondering what is the traditional way to pick a maid of honor amongst your sisters. I don't want to upset any of my sisters so I want to pick a maid of honor according to etiquette.
I do not have any close enough friends that i would consider picking, so it is between my sisters.

This isn't really a question of etiquette but a personal decision. How about selecting the oldest and telling them all how very difficult this choice was for you, since you love them all equally. Typically the oldest is the most organized and reliable. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

I was in the same situation...but I only have 2 sisters. One of them was married last year and asked me to be her MOH. The other sister was very hurt and didn't understand how she could pick between us. When it came to my wedding, I decided to ask them both to be my maids of honor and split up the MOH duties between the two of them. Honestly, if I had any more than 2 sisters, I think I would have just made them all bridesmaids and kept it fair & square! Good luck!

It's actually easier when it's only two sisters, especially easie if one is married and one is single! Maid of honr and Matron of Honor! There can be two Maids or Matrons of Honor (co-maids?) but I haven't heard of this being done with more than two.
