     irresponsible bridesmaids

My wedding is one and a half weeks away and two of my bridesmaids (who live together) have yet to attempt to pay for or pick up their dresses, which need to be taken in due to one being pregnant and the other being petite. They have refused to get shoes matching the other bridesmaids and do not want to go jewelry shopping with my other bridesmaids. It's getting close to the wedding and I am getting angry that they seem to care less. Is it wrong to ask them to step down? And if I ask them to step down should I be honest for my reasons

Dear Bride,

It is fine to ask them to step down for not picking up their dresses or getting matching shoes. It is best to be honest. But, it is unreasonable to ask your bridesmaids to buy jewelry for your wedding. This is often what the bride buys for her bridesmaids, especially if she wants them to wear something special.

Best wishes,
