     2 yr old flower girl

We are having our 2.5 yr old daughter as our flowergirl. I am having a older ring barrier walk/guide her down the isle. My parents will be there to help with our daughter but because she is a mommies girl. Would it be bad if she insisted to be by our side at the alter?

Part of me says yes and apart of me says no!

Thanks,

Lynsey

Dear Lynsey,

Children do play a role for encore weddings, so why not for the first. I don't think anyone would fault you for having your daughter hugging your leg during the ceremony. Plus, unfortunately that is probably what you will have if she walks down the aisle.

Young children often scream and jump under the nearest dress during the procession. I have witnessed a number of brides dragging little ones up the aisle. And, many won't let go. But, it gives everyone so much to smile and talk about during the reception. :)

Enjoy!
