A role in the wedding for brides 3 year old son

I have a 3 year old son from a previous relationship and we can't figure out what role my son should play in the wedding. I want him to be the best man or walk me down the aisle but those are really big roles and I don't know if he will behave. What do you think we should have him participate in?

As you know, 3 year olds are very unpredictable. So, if you're okay with the fact that he may run away crying or freeze halfway down the aisle then let him be the ring bearer. If he does decide not to behave then he can be whisked away by a pre-desiganted person of your choosing and it wonlt make too much difference (only to you, of course). The best man has some responsibility so that role should be played by an adult or a more mature young man.

It's always nice to involve the kids in the ceremony though. Read about the unity candle ceremony.

Have a wonderful wedding.
