     Children in wedding party

I am getting married in Nov of this yr and I have a 9 yr daughter and a 10 yr old son. My daughter is petite for her age so I beive that I will be ok with having her as my flower girl. If I decide to have her as a jr bridesmiad, what type of attire would she wear? My bridal party dresses are not the standard bridal dresses and are more adult in design.

My son I think is too old/big to be a ring bearer but we want him in the wedding. What role could he play? Would it then be ok to not have a ring bearer?

Dear Mother and Bride,

They really are in that middle age, too old to be a ring bearer and flower girl and too young to be attendants. However, they could walk you down the aisle, pass out programs, and just be semi-official hosts.

They don't need to have an official title or job. It seems that children just want to be included and feel as if they are welcomed as a part of the activities.

Children attendants, such as ring bearers are not necessary.

Best wishes,
