I was looking for an unbiased opinion on a disagreement between my fiance and I. The situation is such:
I have a 4 year old daughter from a previous relationship that I feel should be flower girl whereas my fiance feels 4 would be too young and would rather have the 6 year old daughter of a friend of hers.
Can anyone offer some neutral advice on this one for me?
A four year old is still fairly young and may be unpredictable, but only you know how mature she is and how much she'll be able to perform. Just remember that a 4 year old and a 6 year old can both become frightened in front of a large crowd. There's just no way to know for sure. Perhaps consider asking both girls and they can help each other down the aisle. Discuss this with your bride and let her know how you feel, how important it is to you to have your child involved. I completely agree. I've seen many brides who end up with the flower girl wrapped around one ankle as she hobbles up the aisle. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
