Flower girl doubling as ring bearer

Hello, my fiance and I plan to get married next May. Our daughter will be 4 then and will be our flower girl. There are 0 boys in our family and we have no one to be a ring bearer. I was thinking maybe we could put a little silver ring box in the bottom of her basket, then after dropping flowers down the isle she could hand the box to the best man. I like the idea of her being the only child in the wedding and carrying out both "duties", because I feel it's her special day as much as it is ours. Or would I be better of just having her carry out the flower girl duties and leave the ring part completely out?

Dear Soon to be,

Since these roles are optional, she could assume both, one, or either of them. It is best not to use your real rings. So, you could include a symbolic ring in the basket. It doesn't even have to be transferred from the basket to the best man.

Best wishes,
