Gifts for parents of flower girls and ring bearer

I was wondering if it is customary to give gifts to the parents of flower girls and ring bearer. I have also read that some people give corsages to the mothers only. I am not sure what is proper.

No it is not customary to give gifts to the children's parents. Flowers for the mothers and grandmothers is traditional and sometimes, special aunts, etc. but not necessary.
