     Girl Ring Bearer

Hello,

My Finance's daughter is 8 years old and he wants her to be the ring bearer. We don't have any younge boys in out wedding and he thought it would be special for his daughter to bring the rings down the isle instead of flowers. I wanted her to be the flower girl but now I figure his neices who are also 8 and will be in the wedding party, will be the flower girls. Is it strange to have a girl as a ring bearer even though it is his daughter? Is 8 too old to be a flower girl?

Thanks for your help,

Confused

Although it's not traditional, yes the daughter can be the ring bearer. This is an issue that can be a big deal or a compromise that pleases. I'd go for the compromise.
