Two of my three children were asked to be in my brother's wedding party as a flower girl and a ring bearer. We just learned that neither are invited to the reception. If you are part of the bridal party, shouldn't you be included in the reception?

Dear Ellesandy,

Yes, all wedding guests and bridal party should be invited to the entire reception. While it isn't technically mandatory for the couple to also invite your third child, it is the most polite thing to do. I would advise them to invite him.

There is no way to force them to do so, though.

Best wishes,
